Netstrata Foundation Supports the 2025 Wayne Riley Legends Pro Am

This year’s tournament introduces a new format, with professionals competing over two days for a $30,000 prize purse. On Wednesday 19 November, professionals will join 54 amateur teams across morning and afternoon sessions at Hurstville Golf Course. Scores will then carry over to Beverley Park Golf Course for the second round on Thursday 20 November, followed by a presentation dinner to close the event.

Named in honour of Wayne Riley, a proud Peakhurst local who began his golfing journey at Hurstville Golf Course, the tournament celebrates his successful professional career, including victories at the Australian, Scottish and Portugal Opens. Today, Wayne continues to share his passion for the sport as an on-course commentator for Sky Sports across the DP World European and USPGA Tours.

True to tradition, all funds raised through the Pro Am will be donated to the St George Sutherland Medical Research Foundation, a leading local charity supporting vital research at St George and Sutherland Hospitals. Each year, the event raises around $20,000 for the Foundation, and with Beverley Park Golf Course now onboard, organisers are optimistic about achieving an even greater result in 2025.

The Netstrata Foundation is proud to contribute a $10,000 donation as part of our naming rights sponsorship. We join a strong network of local businesses and team sponsors who have supported the tournament and the Council Charity Golf Day for more than two decades. Their continued involvement is central to the event’s success in raising much-needed funds for medical research.

Early professional nominations indicate another competitive field, with familiar names including Brad Burns, current Order of Merit leader, along with Andre Stolz and Michael Harwood. Wayne Riley’s brother, Paul Riley, will also be competing, bringing with him years of experience as a player and club professional.

The Lugarno Lions, under the leadership of Reg Walker, will again provide their signature support—serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and selling raffle tickets to boost fundraising efforts. Their volunteer work plays a vital role in ensuring the financial success of the event and in turning the proceeds into life-changing medical research grants.

At the Netstrata Foundation, we are proud to stand alongside the organisers and participants in supporting a cause that makes a real difference. Through initiatives like the Wayne Riley Legends Pro Am, we continue our mission to invest in healthier, stronger, and more connected communities.
