Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to the most common questions regarding The Netstrata Foundation.

Who can apply for a grant?
To be eligible, organisations must be registered charities with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and hold current Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR1) endorsement from the Australian Taxation Office. Unfortunately, government entities (such as public hospitals) that are not eligible to register with the ACNC are not able to apply.
Where can projects be based?
The Foundation funds eligible projects delivered anywhere in Australia.
What is the typical funding range?
Most grants will be between $5,000 and $20,000. Larger amounts may be considered in exceptional cases where the project demonstrates strong alignment with our focus areas and clear community impact.
Do applicants need to provide co-funding or matching contributions?
Co-contributions are not required but may be looked upon favourably as part of our assessment process.
What types of projects are eligible?
The Foundation funds both new initiatives and the expansion of existing, proven programs. Projects must align with our areas of support and demonstrate measurable outcomes for vulnerable or disadvantaged communities.
What costs can be funded?
Funding may be used for direct program delivery costs, including project staffing, resources, equipment, and small capital works, where these are clearly linked to program outcomes. General operational expenses not tied to the project are not eligible.
When will applicants be notified of the outcome?
Applications will be reviewed after the closing date, with all applicants notified of the outcome in December 2025.
