Chair

Kevin Greene AM is the Chair of the Netstrata Foundation, bringing decades of leadership experience across education, community service, politics and sport. Kevin served in the NSW Parliament from 1999 to 2011, representing the electorates of Georges River and Oatley. During this time, he held several ministerial roles, including Minister for Community Services, Minister for Gaming and Racing, and Minister for Sport and Recreation. From 2010, he was also Minister for Major Events, overseeing high-profile public activities across the state.

Following his state parliamentary career, Kevin returned to local government and was elected as the inaugural Mayor of Georges River Council in 2017. He was re-elected unopposed in 2019 and again in 2021, serving until 2022. Under his leadership, the Council delivered significant improvements in public infrastructure, community facilities, inclusive design and environmental renewal.

In 2023, Kevin was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for his service to Parliament, local government and the broader community. He is also the recipient of the Australian Sports Medal for his longstanding commitment to grassroots sport.

A lifelong advocate for community involvement, Kevin has chaired or contributed to a range of local organisations and sporting bodies. He is the current President of St George Cricket Club, a board member and Deputy Chair of Cricket NSW, and Chair of the NSWRL Referees Association.

Kevin’s deep commitment to community and public service underpins his leadership of the Netstrata Foundation, guiding its mission to fund and support initiatives that create stronger, more connected communities.
